Powder Coating

Before and after
The Process
The products are hung on rails with special hooks that are designed to conduct the most amount of static available. The powder is sprayed on and sticks to the metal products using the static. Once the powder is on the products are put in the oven. They begin to cure at 100 degrees and then go on to bake for 25minues at 180 – 200 degrees. The products are then removed from the oven to cool for approximately 20 minutes. And it’s as simple as that.
At Wranglers we use the powder coating for a number of our own items including our puppy play pens, poopa scoopa’s, fitted car crates and our trolleys too. We soon realised that powder coating was widely used and began to powder coat for other companies as well as ourselves. We have anything from car parts, motorcycle frames all the way through to galvanised sheds pass through our oven. We offer a wide range of colours from standard black to orange and even chrome like finishes.
Powder Coating is widely recognised as supplying a highly attractive superior finish to metals which require a durable and corrosion resistant finish. It is much more durable than paint as it is stronger and doesn’t flake.
Any colours we powder coat we can also buy a touch up aerosol for, from as little as £4.99, and because it doesn’t flake the aerosol is useful to cover any chips and grazes and a tin will practically last forever.
Powder coating is suitable for a very wide range of uses such as:
Metal staircases.
Wrought Iron Gates.
Metal garden furniture.
Barbeque equipment.
Galvanised steel products.
Plain steel products: Zinc phosphate coat recommended before powder.
Alloy Wheel rims.
Metal Bus frames.
Small car parts.
Engine manifolds.
The list really is endless. |
